Why are all of the services packaged and not a la carte?

I decided to change my services from a la carte to packages for efficiency, to meet clients needs, and to make it easier for those that are serious about their healthy hair journey. I specialize in color but healthy hair is always priority. Therefore, services that keep the hair healthy, i.e. trims, cuts, and treatments should not be optional. Many of my clients love the option of choosing one package and booking it to stay on track with their hair routine. I will take it from there.

What are tailored hair treatments?

Since haircare is a priority for my business, I offer an extensive list of treatments. I have found that many clients may know that they need hair treatments but really don't know exactly what they need to select it from a menu of services. I find it works better for me to choose what you need for your hair and add it to your treatment. This can range from hair masks, protein, vitamin restore, oil-enriched conditioners, reconstructors, scalp tonics, and the list goes on. The only treatment that is optional and is offered as an upgrade is the stand-alone Olaplex treatment.

Is a deposit required to book an appointment?

Yes, the amount of the deposit varies, based on the service booked.

Can you give me the exact color that I am desiring?

Short answer, no and no hair professional or colorist should ever promise this. Hair color results depend on a number of factors, particularly all of the various tones underneath the hair once you start removing pigment, existing or previous artificial hair color, how the hair responds to color or lightener, and if the desired color was shown on a wig or weave. As a professional colorist, preserving the integrity and health of your hair is of utmost importance. Thus, leading to the next question regarding the color consultation.

Why do I have to do a color consultation?

Color consultations are extremely important in getting as close as possible to the desired results, especially if you are a new client and I have never seen your hair. A thorough consultation helps me prepare to give you the best outcome and it also let's you know what you can expect during and after the color service is performed. We need to discuss your hair history, evaluate the health of your hair to see if it is safe and ready for color, the maintenance that will be required to upkeep the color at home and in the salon, and pricing.

When am I considered an existing client?

You are an existing client if you are serviced at least four times a year, typically with no more than 3-4 months in between services. Certain exceptions may apply (i.e. Covid-19, illness). If you have been serviced by XMCS and have a future appointment already scheduled, you are considered an existing client.

Why am I considered a new client if I have been serviced by XMCS in the past?

If it has been longer than 6 months that you have been serviced, you are considered a new client and should book accordingly.

Can you assist me with hair loss?

No, I am not a hair loss specialist. If you are losing hair and have any form of alopecia, you should see a trichologist, which is a hair loss specialist. I do know a few that I can refer you to if needed.
